Usage:As a hydrophilic colloid, sodium alginate is readily soluble in water to form a viscous solution. With its thickening and stabilising properties, it can be used as food and beverage thickener, stabiliser, printing paste, oilfield aid and so on. As a kind of natural polymer polysaccharide, sodium alginate has good functions of water absorption, water retention, film formation, etc. It can reduce the regeneration aging caused by starch water loss, and it also has the functions of good tissue improvement, promoting the formation of gluten network, which can increase the elasticity of rice and noodle products. Sodium alginate can make ice cream and other cold drink food produce smooth appearance and silky taste.
